These are packaging concepts I recently created for the Chili Queen brand, for which I also designed the logo. Sadly my desktop hard drive failed shortly after, but I am excited about the direction this is going in and I look forward to diving back into it soon!
I designed the labels in adobe Illustrator and overlaid them onto digital mockups I created using photography of the product wrapped in blank labels. I often use a digital mockup process like this to visualize concepts, both for myself and for ease of communicating the design to the client.
I got really inspired while browsing around Target recently, and I decided to work on my own little brand concept. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS CONCEPTUAL ONLY AND NOT ENDORSED BY. TARGET. I made it for fun.
I had a lot of fun working on this 80s-inspired illustration.
My Valentine’s Day design.
This was a fun ideating project with Russell Athletic in early 2020. These concepts did not go forward but they were a blast to work on.
In 2019 I took part in a collaboration with a Western Kentucky University Graphic Design class. Each student concepted a Vanity Fair sub brand that was to be Sport Bra oriented and which also had a mission of raising awareness for breast cancer. Along with my managers, I provided some guidance and critiquing to the students throughout the course of the class and project development. It was a very cool experience, and I was so inspired by their work that I decided to make my own concept!
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CONCEPT ONLY AND IS NOT ENDORSED BY VANITY FAIR BRANDS. I made it for fun.
I have been working on some patterns for a bookmark set for a friend. I wanted to explore some cute gift ideas in Photoshop mock form as well!
A cyber-themed album cover for a cyber-themed album.
This is one of the only projects from college that I still keep in my portfolio. I have such a soft spot for all things Regina Spektor.
When I was in high school I sent a painting of Keyboard Cat Playing Off The Earth to an art contest held by Attack of the Show! I saw it briefly featured on the episode, but I am not sure what happened to it. In college, I made a digital print in Photoshop using a photo of that painting as a base. After graduating, I decided to make this fake museum collateral after visiting a lot of art museums.
I won a logo contest on 99 Designs to create a new patch within an existing series. I was then hired for several one-on-one projects to create the main series logo, another new patch, recolors for existing patches, and flyer and rack card layouts using provided templates from moo.com. This was a really fun series to work on and create illustrations for.
I have made a few commissioned logos for friends or acquaintances - some are featured below.
